Christmas Fundraising with Specsavers & Idlewells

Thanks to Idlewells customers who raised over £500!

Christmas Fundraising with Specsavers & Idlewells!

Specsavers Sutton In Ashfield and the Idlewells Shopping Centre recently visited a local Hospice on Wednesday 18th December to delivery over 40 presents and a cheque for £527.64.

The presents were raised through the Giving Tree initiative, set up with the Idlewells Shopping Centre during December. The initiative encouraged customers to donate a present that could be delivered to the John Eastwood Hospice before Christmas.

The Specsavers store has also been grateful for the support customers have given to helping raise money for the hospice throughout 2013. The total of over £500 was raised through events such as a mother's day raffle, father's day raffle, two visits from local pianist David Coulton, and a whole month of fundraising in December which involved selling Christmas decorations and Calendars, as well as the team singing Christmas carols at the front of the store on Christmas Eve.
