Second Community Fund - £1,000 Up For Grabs

Following the success of its first Community Fund donation, Idlewells Shopping Centre has set aside another £1,000 cash sum for one deserving charity or group operating locally.

Ashfield Community First Responders won the first Community Fund £1,000 earlier this year, and used the money to buy its first defibrillator and other bits of equipment vital to its launch.

Well over 100 nominations were made during the summer promotion, supported by the Chad and, this time using a revised application process, organisers are hoping to attract even more interest.

Any local community organisation or group can apply for the £1,000 donation by filling out an application form and returning it to the Idlewells team between 15th  - 31st October 2014.

The form asks a range of simple questions about the group/charity and that will ultimately benefit from the donation.  All applications will be shortlisted by a panel from Idlewells and The Chad and the 5 selected will be put out to a public vote.

Forms are available to download, complete and return below. You can print off the form and fill in, or fill in within the Word document and email back to us.

Some Simple Terms & Conditions: We are looking for applications from groups or organisations that positively affect communities local to the Idlewells Shopping Centre. Government funded organisations, national charities or individuals will not be considered for the award. The application form must be filled out thoroughly, and all information provided where possible. The successful applicant must operate an active bank account to qualify for the award, and demonstrate evidence of activity detailed in the application. The panel of judges will shortlist a maximum of 5 applicants, which will then be announced to the public for a vote to take place over two weeks in the Idlewells Shopping Centre.  The charity or organisation with the largest number of votes will take the full £1,000 donation. In the case of a split decision, the fund will be split accordingly.  The panel’s decision will be final and if needed will make the final decision on the vote.  The panel reserves the right to disqualify any group or organisation it deems to have not adhered to the process fairly.
