We have reopened our donation station to collect toys and craft activities for the children’s ward at King’s Mill Hospital, which will be donated to the young patients during the festive period this year!
This collection is the second to take place this year at the donation station, which was introduced at the start of the summer holidays, collecting new and second-hand school uniforms.
The donation station is now open to collect new toys, games and craft activities such as crayons, felt tip pens and colouring books for the children’s ward at King’s Mill Hospital. Unfortunately, soft toys such as teddy bears cannot be accepted, nor can second-hand donations, due to hygiene regulations at the hospital. The donated toys and games will be given to the children attending the hospital for treatment during the festive period in the hope of keeping a smile on their faces!
Joy Wilson, Community Involvement Co-ordinator at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said “Children’s Services at King’s Mill Hospital are delighted at the very kind offer from Idlewells Shopping Centre to hold a new toy collection for children attending for treatment at our hospital over the festive season. Our patients and their families will be truly grateful for this very thoughtful gesture.”
The donation station can be found opposite JD Sports at Idlewells Shopping Centre. Donations can be made until the end of November.
