Peter Aldred-Hill, I am a Marketplace Manager, which means I manage multiple units for Ladbrokes including the branch at Idlewells.
How long have you worked at Ladbrokes in Idlewells Shopping Centre?
I have worked for Ladbrokes for 35 years. I have currently been at Idlewells for 6 years having previously managed it between 2005 and 2015.
What do you love about Ladbrokes?
The people I work with, the customers combined with my love of sport and the fact that no two days are the same.
What is your favourite thing about Idlewells Shopping Centre?
The diversity of shops in the centre and most of them are small local businesses.
What is one thing you wish customers knew about Ladbrokes?
There is a stigma attached to bookmakers. I’d like people to know that it’s not a scary place to visit and that my staff are very friendly and welcoming.
What is your favourite memory from working at Ladbrokes in Idlewells Shopping Centre?
Being told that my Idlewells shop was the busiest shop in the country on Grand National day (the busiest day of the year!).
