This Christmas, Idlewells Shopping Centre is proud to be supporting two local schools, Priestsic Primary and Dalestorth Primary School, as they team up to put on a Christmas Market to raise funds for their schools. This will take place inside Idlewells Shopping Centre on Wednesday 7th December from 10am.
Members of each school’s council, parents and other volunteers will be selling festive items made by the children from each school. Items will be available to purchase, such as Christmas joke books, sweet bags, Christmas cards and other festive creations.
Lili Rae, Year 6 at Priestsic Primary explained, “We want to fundraise to buy some new outdoor and indoor playtime equipment.” Olivia from Dalestorth Primary said, “We want to do something fun and Christmassy for our community”. Oliver, Year 6 from Priestsic Primary added, “We want to achieve something by working together – teamwork makes the dreamwork!”
The school children are busy preparing for the festive market which Idlewells Shopping Centre is excited to host. Stephen Salisbury, Centre Manager, said “We are thrilled to be able to welcome the local schools and their Christmas market. We are looking forward to seeing the children’s festive creations and raising money for their play equipment.”
